Asheville IT Green Team
With the Asheville City Council passing some very ambitious
goals for reducing the carbon footprint of all government
departments, those of us in the IT business have stepped up to
do our part in the private sector by creating the Asheville IT
Green Team. Our goal is to help regional businesses to identify
areas where they can improve energy efficiency, reduce paper
consumption, consolidate servers, lower IT operating costs, and
obtain a green business certification. |

Keep your discarded
computer hardware with its toxic components out of our
local landfills by recycling it at Blue Ridge Computer
Recycling in Asheville. The systems that can be
repaired, are, and then they are donated to charitable
organizations or resold. The systems that cannot be
repaired are checked for any reusable parts and the
remaining pieces are refined into reusable materials:
like glass, metal, and plastic.
